What Makes Alderspring Grass FEd Beef Different?
Alderspring organic grass fed beef is raised right here on our Idaho ranch by our family. We raise our beef with absolutely no hormones, antibiotics, insecticides, pesticides, herbicides, or other chemicals. Our cattle live their entire lives on pasture and never see a feedlot, and we go far beyond even typical grass fed standards by grazing on some of the wildest mountain pastures in the world. Our crew of range riders live with our cattle on these pastures for the duration of the summer. You can see a picture from a typical day of grazing below!
Additionally, we are committed to regenerative principles that improve the health of the land and wild animals we are privileged to steward. Through our unique regenerative practices, we’ve successfully sequestered over 2400 tons of carbon to date. This number far exceeds our emissions and makes us a carbon negative, climate positive operation! Besides sequestering carbon, we’ve also been able to dramatically improve the health of the wilderness ecosystems we manage (see the photo below for an example of the changes we’ve accomplished).
