Next Shipping Date: Monday, August 3rd

We generally ship every Monday, holiday weeks excepting (see calendar). You’ll get a tracking number when we ship your order. UPS may initially show an extra day of transit time, but will correct late Monday night when orders hit the Salt Lake hub.

Ranch News

We call it the “mega spread.” It’s a little unsettling after herding cattle for all these years. Now, we just create a virtual paddock with their collars (we still ride horseback to move them, and bring them to the best grass). The cows are happy as I’ve seen them! They’re foraging what their palate tells them to eat, using their own nutritional wisdom. Photo by Glenn.

Almost 100 years ago, one of FDRs civilian conservation corps (CCC) men carved this ax blaze in a fir tree on the Hat Creek Ranges. It’s nearly grown over by bark, and the trail is nearly abandoned. It’s the Big Hat Trail, and it was used to pack supplies in to the fire lookout on nearby Taylor Peak. Photo by Glenn.
