Next Shipping Date: Monday, June 8th

We generally ship every Monday, holiday weeks excepting (see calendar). You’ll get a tracking number when we ship your order. UPS may initially show an extra day of transit time, but will correct late Monday night when orders hit the Salt Lake hub.

Ranch News

The crew of Jed and range riding interns Carson, and Abbie prepare to get the cattle out of the night pen and up to some good grass for the day! -Melanie

Jed and his pup, Johnny, keep an eye on the cattle as they graze. This is Johnny’s first summer on the range, and he’s getting the hang of things quickly! -Melanie

Glenn and Jed, with the help of supervisor Clyde, work to reboot the deuce and a half after it ran out of fuel. It wasn’t long before it roared back to life, but it was a little stressful in the moment with a couple hundred head of mama cows ready for another load of water. -Melanie

A few weeks ago we had snow in the high desert. The crew braved the cold and wind while the cattle grazed happily, impervious to the wintry conditions. That’s springtime in Idaho for you! -Melanie

Here’s the mama cows on some fresh grass after we moved them to a new pasture the other day! They’re doing so well with their calves at their side. I enjoyed the task of walking through them a couple times this past stint. -Melanie

A couple of mama cows going back to their calves after getting a drink. The layers of sunlit mountain ranges, illuminated into dimensionality by the setting sun, really caught my eye. It’s beautiful to witness how the landscape changes over the course of a day with sunlight and weather patterns. -Melanie

This calf, a rather independent little heifer who decided to look for her mom instead of waiting till she returned, was perfectly framed against the beautiful sunset. -Melanie

It made the crew and I so happy to see the mama cows grazing some new grass after we worked much of the afternoon to get them moved. It was a great way to end our last full day of the stint. -Melanie

Our stint concluded with moving camp to a new location further down the creek. This campsite had a beautiful meadow for the horses to graze, and they were pretty happy about it! -Melanie
